What tools do I need if I want to make timber furniture at home?
I would like to start making my own furniture at home ie. entertainment units, cd towers and general wooden furniture. If I get good at it I wouldn't mind to start up a small home business doing it. What tools would I need in order to make this furniture? I would like to set up in my garage, so would I need to buy a work bench also? Thanks for your help.
I sell logs to people who do this. Start with some books. Look at baileysonline.com they are a logging supply company but they have books also and one of them is "Build your own log furniture". I'm in an area where this type of stuff is popular and brings a premium price. Also look at northern hydraulics catalog I think they have machines that join the logs.
