A Villager's Bare Foot:When you leave your pair of brand new&expensive slippers outside a house,how you feel?
I think India is the only country where footwear is still a taboo to use it indoors of a temple,clinic,relative/friend's house etc:.
Sometime it is very embarrassing to lose them.Either someone loots it or dogs take one of the pair to play with.
Recently I had been to Sringeri and it was night time when we reached to have darshan of the temple. The temple footwear secuirty(???!!!) said at that time, his window is closed. So I left my new pair of chappals on roadside platform (where hundreds of them are lying)and went inside and had darshan of Goddess Sharadambika.
When I came out, I could not find my footwear even after half an hour search.
Finally I decided to wear footwear of somebody which was lying over there and selected rather a new one, though it was larger to me.
When I returned to lodge, I was astonished to find mine on the next room's doorway and when I asked that man, he coolly replied, he has lost his own, hence he picked up this pair(mine) as it was looking new.
Then what???
I had to buy a new pair next day morning.
