I want to make a homemade gas forge. Would this work as the burner?
Propane LP Torch Roofing Weed Pear Burner Ice Melter attached to a propane tank.

Well, you could use that but you would have to put it into a Tee and have a blower motor hooked to the other Tee. Forcing air past the burner to make a nice hot flame for forging. Or better yet, a "Y" fitting.
