Homemade Sawmill Directions?
Has anybody triedto make a homemade bandsaw mill? Can you give me some insight?
Unless you are a engineering genius with a lot of money and time on your hands, you may be better off just buying one. I have a rip saw which is a vertically mounted portable band saw with a chainsaw power head- far better than the Alaskan mills because you are cutting a thin cerf instead of the quarter inch chainsaw tooth. I can't imagine trying to build one from scratch but good luck.
